World’s Longest Games Wins Community Attraction Award!

We’re delighted to announce that CCF board member Dr. Brent Saik and the Alberta Sports Vision Institute have won the 2024 Community Attraction Award from the Sherwood Park & District Chamber of Commerce. The team was bestowed this award on November 15 for the work put into the World’s Longest Games.

Over the past 30 years, this dedicated team—alongside incredible players, volunteers, and donors—has raised over $8.1 million for cancer research in Alberta through the World’s Longest Hockey and Baseball Games.

This year alone, the World’s Longest Games raised over $600,000 to support childhood cancer clinical trials and to help purchase and install an MR-Sim at the Cross Cancer Institute.
