If being a referee or a scorekeeper isn’t your speed, we’ve got another way you can get involved in the game!
Volunteer as an Ambassador with the Alberta Cancer Foundation at the World’s Longest Hockey Game and help us reach our fundraising goal.
You’ll greet guests, accept and process donations (cash, credit, and debit), collect donor information, and help create a welcoming environment for everyone who attends.
No experience needed — training is provided on site, with supervisors there to support you. Shifts are indoors and outdoors in a heated tent, so please dress for the weather.
It’s a fun way to make friends, be part of the game, and help raise funds for vital cancer research.

The World's Longest Hockey Game Will Help Bring Life-Saving Cancer Treatment Home!
Right now, CAR T-cell immunotherapy is one of the most promising cancer treatments available, but it requires Alberta patients to have their cells sent out of province for processing. It’s costly, slow, and limits access.
With your help, the Cure Cancer Foundation is raising $2.5 million by fall of 2026 to purchase the critical equipment needed to bring this therapy home to the Cross Cancer Institute. This state-of-the-art technology will allow scientists and clinicians to create personalized, cancer-fighting immune cells right here in Edmonton. This treatment will be faster, safer, and at a fraction of the current cost.
Your support isn’t just funding equipment.
It’s fueling possibility. It’s accelerating hope. It’s helping cure cancer—one cell, one patient, one discovery at a time.
