Toast of the Town 2021

We’re so excited that Toast of the Town is back! We are proud to be honouring the legendary Kevin Lowe, an Alternate Governor of Oilers Entertainment Group, President of Hockey Operations for the Oilers for 7 seasons and General Manager of the Oilers for 8 seasons. He has been on 6 Stanley Cup teams, was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2020, and was given the Order of Hockey in Canada in 2021.

The Toast this year will take place on August 5 at the Mayfield Dinner Theatre in Edmonton.

Money raised will be going to Dr. Chu, a doctor who is working on an incredible cancer treatment known as chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy works by utilizing NK cells from healthy people and injecting them into cancer patients so that these cells can be the ones to fight off the cancerous cells. This way, the treatment does not rely on the health of the patient, whose body has already been through so much.

NK cells can be gathered through regular blood donations as they are collected along with everything else but are not normally used.

Donating to this research means that real people right here in Alberta, can live better lives.

We would appreciate your support.

What we do today saves lives tomorrow.
