In Loving Memory of “Coach” Brian Anstice

Rest in Peace Brian Anstice

On behalf of the Cure Cancer Foundation (CCF) and Toast of the Town Committee, it is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dear friend “Coach” Brian Anstice. On January 6, 2025, we lost Brian, the beloved founder and co-chair of the Toast of the Town.

Brian’s journey with cancer began in 2016 when he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. Despite relapses in 2020, 2021, and 2023, he never let his diagnosis define him. Instead, he channelled his energy into helping others, determined to make a difference. Brian believed his mission was to “make everyone he met at the hospital feel a little better each day.”

Brian Anstice’s Work With The Cure Cancer Foundation

Brian was a tireless volunteer for the Cure Cancer Foundation, from his work on the Day of Golf committee to his Co-Founder role for Toast of the Town. He brought amazing energy and enthusiasm to every meeting and challenge. In his personal time, he would come up with new ideas to raise funds and ensure those who helped in the fight against cancer knew they were appreciated.

Born in Regina, Saskatchewan, Brian was a friend, mentor, devoted husband, father, grandfather, and, above all, a coach in every sense of the word.

On behalf of the Board of Directors of CCF and all the volunteers and friends he made, we offer our deepest sympathies to Brian’s family and friends. He will be missed by all of us however he will never be forgotten.

What we do today saves lives tomorrow.
