Who is the Cure Cancer Foundation?

We're a grassroots movement started by a group of caring individuals with decades of experience in raising funds for cancer research and treatment right here in Alberta.
 

The Foundation  built direct relationships with the researchers and doctors to help tell their stories and fund critical research and treatment programs.

 

Our primary goals are to raise money for cancer research and to end the severe battles people face every day from the moment they hear “you have cancer.”

 

We're passionate about finding a cure and improving Albertans' lives with this horrible disease.

How to Donate to the CCF?
 

You can donate to the Cure Cancer Foundation at any time. We have partnered with the Alberta Cancer Foundation to support CCF priorities, such as funding Dr. Michael Chu and Dr. John Lewis.

 

The Alberta Cancer Foundation issues your charitable tax receipt as the campaign partner of the Cure Cancer Foundation.

The 2023 Glenn Anderson Day of Golf was Another Success!

The annual event occurred on August 10, 2023, at the Derrick Golf and Winter Club. Participants teed off with excitement, embarking on an enjoyable afternoon of golf, knowing the proceeds raised were all going to a good cause.

Some celebrity golfers, including Mattias Ekholm of the Edmonton Oilers joined the tournament.

This Year's Tournament Raised $430,000 in Donations!

* Please note that in the days after the golf tournament an amazing individual came forward with a $100,000 donation through the tournament to bring the grand total to $530,000.*
 

Every year the annual tournament generates hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of dollars that fund cancer research in Alberta! This year was no exception, and $430,000 in donations was raised, furthering the mission of giving cancer patients a better chance at beating the disease!

Thank you to all of our incredible partners, enthusiastic auction bidders, generous donors, and remarkable golfers for helping to make this year's Day of Golf a Success!

A massive shout-out to our hardworking volunteers who meticulously planned, organized, and ran this year's Golf Classic.

The Cure Cancer Foundation Committee had the distinct honour of recognizing two exceptional individuals, Simone Schendel Reese and Dean Heuman, for their unwavering dedication as longstanding volunteers. Each has volunteered with the Day of Golf tournament for over 20 years!
